Exam Day Rules of Conduct
To take the ABCC DNP Certification Exam, you must adhere to the following Rules of Conduct on Test Day:
- You are the person named on the Scheduling Permit for the DNP Certification Exam.
- You will not receive, give, or acquire any kind of unauthorized assistance during the examination or during breaks.
- You will not have in your possession any study materials, guides, notes, papers, or electronic devices unless you are out of the testing room on a break between blocks of the examination.
- Before you enter the examination room, you will place any study materials, guides, notes, electronic devices, or paper in your possession in a locker. Any and all personal belongings, including cell phones, your purse, bag, and/or wallet, pagers, PDA’s, etc. must also be placed in a locker before entering the examination room.
- You will not leave your testing station for breaks unless your computer monitor displays a break screen. It will be considered a violation of the Rules of Conduct if you indicate in the center log that your break screen is visible at a time when it is not.
- You will not use a telephone or other communication device at any time during the examination, including breaks, for any purpose associated with exam content.
- You will not remove materials of any kind (written, printed, recorded, or any other type) from the examination center.
- All examination materials remain the property of the NBME parent organizations and you will maintain confidentiality regarding all exam materials. You will not replicate or attempt to replicate examination materials. Also, you will not provide information relating to examination content that may give or attempt to give unfair advantage to future test takers. This includes posting information regarding examination items and/or answers on the internet.
